Peanut Beetles Larvea Cultures OUT OF STOCK This picture showing a cup of our Peanut beetles/larva is just a display picture and not an actual culture count we sell as a culture. the culture mix includes both stages a beetle and larva:) (ULOMAIDES DERMESTOIDS)can handle higher temperatures then first suggested, but don't do as well in the cold temps below 40 degrees. 55% crude Protein , 18%fat Peanut beetle starter culture have a descent amount of beetles and larva and are great as live food for fish, any exotics, frogs, jumping spiders or small baby lizards or dart frogs. The larva are harvested and then fed, you need the adult beetles to keep the culture going. This picture above shows the size range (med-small) of the larva. They are a nutritious live food and are easy to culture with low maintenance and very prolific. Great for geckos, small lizards,tropical fish, and a great clean up crew for your tanks.
